Melissa Crandley is the Chocolatier/Owner of MECHA Artisan Chocolate in Haddon Twp, NJ. After working as a financial analyst for 8 years, Melissa decided it was time for a new adventure. She embarked on her journey at the Culinary Art Institute of Philadelphia, graduating in 2010 with a degree in Culinary Arts. Soon after graduating, she began working on the Line at a series of restaurants in Center City Philadelphia, most notably, Bindi and Barbuzzo. It wasn’t until Melissa worked as a pastry chef, that she realized her passion for chocolate, and thus took that passion and grew it into a small business. MECHA Artisan Chocolate is a marriage of her culinary and pastry experiences which brings the elements of sweet, salty and savory together in all of her confections.
