Baking Science for Kids!

What is the science to crafting a perfect cupcake? It isn’t just the magic of elves in the kitchen! Come join us in our lab kitchen to find out the chemistry that creates the dessert we know and love. After we learn the basics, each child will be given cupcake samples that are slightly less than perfect, and it will be their task to apply their new food science facts, their sense of taste, touch, and sight to deduce what went wrong. We will discuss everyone’s findings at the end and we will finish out the lab by decorating our very own “lab rat” cupcakes.
