Cold Comfort Jelly
Canning and Preserving doesn’t have to stop when the farmers’ markets end. Danielle Brenner of The Jersey Farmhouse will show is how to make Cold Comfort Jelly, a throat soothing winter treat. Cold Comfort Jelly is a low-honey cooked jelly made with Pomona’s Universal Pectin. (Pomona’s Pectin contains no sugar or preservatives and jells reliably with low amounts of any sweetener.) The jelly by itself is pretty intense, very lemony with a bit of heat, and though it can be eaten on toast or used as a glaze in cooking, this jelly makes a soothing warm winter beverage.
