Farmhouse Tasting Table: American Farmstead Cheeses
Join us in The Farmstead Kitchen at the tasting table for an evening of American Farmstead Cheeses. A farmstead cheese is one where the farmer has the most control of the entire process from raising and grazing their own animals on their own land, to making and ageing the cheese on their property. Farmstead cheeses are, by definition, small batch and very individual.
We will taste four very different farmstead cheeses, with accompaniments, discuss styles, how they are made, what to look for and what we taste. There will be some discussion of local cheeses along with suggested pairings. Beverage pairings will be covered.
