|Robson’s Farm will have those beautiful little shelling peas (see above) just waiting for you to pick them up. Their table gets more full each week with lettuces, onions, kales, Swiss chard, bok choy and more.
1895 Organic Farm truly expanded last week as they continue to bring all their Certified Organic lettuces, kales, kohlrabi, garlic scapes, sorrel, oregano, parsley and definitely some surprises.
Spinella Farm is ‘pea central’ with snow peas and English sweet peas. Check out their greens, still that great asparagus, kohlrabi and spring onions.
It’s another beautiful weekend for grilling ~ and for picking up mushrooms at Davidson’s Mushrooms. Seriously, get to the market early for your Portobello needs. And grab some great side recipes ~
|Specca Farm will be with us for just a few more weeks. As you enter the market, stop by and check out those huge Fava beans! Need advice on how to prepare them? Just ask the Speccas. They also have garlic scapes, assorted greens and asparagus.
Cranberry Hall Farm may have the last of the strawberries of the seasons – and what a great season it was! Look for kohlrabi, Napa cabbage, bok choy, spring onions and the last chance to plant those veggies in the ground ~
Stop by Little Hooves Romneys get ground lamb and start up the grill. Everything you need can be found at the market, including the rolls and toppings to make a great lamb burger!
Strawberry season is winding down, and so are the strawberry varieties on The Jersey Farmhouse tables. Strawberry rhubarb, a favorite of the season, will debut this week, along with the other popular strawberry varieties. Don’t forget about those perfect end of year teacher gifts. Want old fashioned spicy and bread & butter pickles with a twist? They’re really zucchini! Check them out ~
Taylor’d Eatz will be serving their delicious Chicken & andouille sausage gumbo, Jackfuit gumbo, Jambalaya, Shrimp boil, Shrimp & grits, BBQ Pulled chicken, Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens.
Stop by The Soup Bar ~ inside the vendor barn on Saturday. Ed will be cooking up mouth watering Jumbo lump crab cakes, Crabcake grilled cheese, Jabanero mango shrimp tacos and Mac & cheese.
