All you’ll need for the holiday week ahead ~ June 29th

Live Music with Warm Hearted Country
Cooking Demo at 10am in the Farmhouse Kitchen with Farmers Against Hunger – corn and shiitake mushroom risotto, with fresh basil ~ It’s a great way to use all the great farmers market finds ~

Better than the 4th of July Fireworks? You best believe it. These crazy Purple Haze carrots have their own natural sparkle ~ and without sprays or chemicals. Resilient Farms will have more spring mixes, spinach, chard, kale, collards, beets, microgreens, radishes, turnips and bok choy.

1895 Organic Farm has beautiful lettuces, garlic and scapes, green zucs, kale, sorrel, parsley, radishes, beets, white and sweet onions and more. But check out these Red, White and Blues! All Certified Organic!

Durr Farm will have green beans, yellow and white peaches, too! Look for overflowing tables of onions, potatoes, cilantro, basil, dill, parsley, mint, squash, kales, lettuces, radishes, spinach, carrots, beets, cabbage, collards and so much more ~

Robson’s Farm will have their own juicy peaches very soon ~ and field tomatoes are arriving soon. Their tables are overflowing with Swiss chard, beets, broccoli, kohlrabi and onions.

At Cherry Grove Farm, there’s more than cheese. Take home their grass-fed and finished ground beef, ground patties, steaks and beef & parmesan sausages for a leaner grill. Get some whey-fed pork sausages, chops and ribs ~ all great for grilling all week long.

Blueberry preserves will make their debut on The Jersey Farmhouse tables! Favorites like Blueberry lime and Blueberry hot pepper are just a couple varieties. Fact – You haven’t had a 4th of July burger until you’ve topped it with cheese & blueberry hot pepper jam!

Fireworks, Fun and Davidson’s Mushroom! Not necessarily in that order, but you get the idea. Great for mushroom bruscetta, or as a side over pasta. And never forget those Portobellos for grilling. They disappear quickly. You know what to do ~

Summer arrived wrapped in a wet, warm blanket at Cherry Grove Farm. The usual cheesy suspects this week will be at the market. But those Toma batches have been glorious….. the rinds like a summer sunset. Freshly cut, the wheels offer almost a sour beer aroma. And when you bite into this fudgy palate-coating cheese, you’ll get a buttery, creamy feel with undercurrents of vanilla, almond and sublet hints of grass. Great for a cheese plate or melted down in a mac n’ cheese ~~ Toma
Pee Wee’s Ice Cream is gearing up for the 4th and will have those long awaited ice cream sandwiches! ~Limited quantities~ Check out Lavender honey, using lavender from Durr Farm and honey from Mill Creek Apiary, Coffee from Harvest Coffee, Blueberry Lemon starring Whalen Farms blueberries, and Chocolate whiskey. This is the last call for Peanut butter fudge swirl! Vegan varieties, too ~
Let’s hear a big welcome to Wild Flour Bakery as they debut at the market, offering their line of artisan breads ~ from baguettes baked on hearth stone and artfully rolled, to thick and chewy Focaccia flavored with extra virgin olive oil and fine sea salt, to their classic and delicious French dinner rolls ~ and so much more.
CJ’s Salsas and Dips surprise us every week with their line-up. What salsas are they bringing? Pico de gallo, Mango, Pineapple and White peach. Their hummus line up will be Lemon, Grilled pineapple and Chipotle. ~Just get there early ~
Cheese Etc. & Gourmet Gifts is feeling blue this weekend. Stop by and check out their blueberry flavors, like Blueberry Goat! Jersey Fresh at it’s best ~ Thanks to Whalen Farms.!
Holiday treats for your 4-legged friends? Of course! GGC Healthy Paws has adorably festive treats! Grab some before the 4th so your pup is prepared ~
