The question of the day last week ~ What are Haricot Verts? Well, it’s French for green beans. And that’s it ~ They’re longer, thinner, sweeter and more tender than most American varieties. Check out Spinella Farm’s tables for more. They’ll also have peaches, scallions, mixed greens, zucchini and those sought after, zucchini flowers.

The cheesemakers at Cherry Grove Farm have released a bunch of Buttercup Brie. There will be plenty of this luscious bloomy-rind cheese emulating a classic French brie, but made from rich grass-fed cows’ milk. Mild and pleasing when young, this paste softens and develops earthy mushroom notes as it continues to ripen. Wonderful on a chunk of crusty bread and drizzled with honey and fresh berries! This may be the star of the show on Saturday, but the other crowd-pleasers, Herdsman, Havilah and Toma will be at the market also ~
Tea for All is brewing up a couple of new summer specials in addition to some of their regular offerings. Look for their cold brewed Summer Thunderstorm – a new green tea offering, and a limited edition Root Beer Float ~ with a fizz!
