Sparrow Lake Farm was established in June of 2017 by Devi & Kevin James, with their focus being on offering their family and communities healthier food options. Their mission to protect the overall health of their family began to evolve into the idea of starting a small farm.
While they are not Certified Organic, they grow using organic practices, permaculture principles, and pride themselves on growing sustainably. This includes using biological and natural pest control. This looks something like having their pasture-raised chickens eat pests, the introduction of beneficial insects, the use of neem oil, and insect barrier tunnels. Their animals are treated humanely and are fed and cared for by the Sparrow Lake family. They find great joy in bringing quality produce and eggs from their family to yours!
