DESCRIPTION:Our Kids in the Kitchen series brings parents\, or grandparents\, and children together in the kitchen. \nKids love ravioli! In this Kids in the Kitchen class\, we will demonstrate the basics of pasta making and then get hands on with pre-rested dough. The kids will be rolling out\, cutting and filling their ravioli while sharing ideas about the endless possibilities for fillings and combinations. \nSome of our raviolis will be cooked and eaten in class. We will send home what is not cooked for your child to share. \n(Each registration includes one adult and one child 8-12 years old.)

SUMMARY:Kids in the Kitchen: Quick Pickles!
DESCRIPTION:Kids in the Kitchen! At the end of summer\, gardens are bursting with produce\, and we hustle to preserve the harvest. Pickling is an easy way to save almost all vegetables. We’re going to tackle quick pickling\, also known as refrigerator pickling. No need for boiling water or a canning kit\, in this session we will make a variety of quick pickles with different fruits and veggies and talk about the many variations of spicing to help you create the most flavorful\, crunchy and healthy snacks. We’ll enjoy some premade examples in class. We will have containers for you to transport your treats. \nThis class is designed as a drop off class for kids\, but the registration includes one child and one adult if you would like to stay and pickle with us. \n

DESCRIPTION:We regret that this session of class has been cancelled. Please look for future Kids in the Garden classes with Miss Mindy in April and May. \nAs part of our Kids in the Garden sessions\, Miss Mindy presents a four-week series of classes on plants! \nPlants\, Plants\, Plants! Seed Superpowers! Did you know that seeds travel as hitchhikers\, on the wind and water\, and by expulsion? Your child will make an exploding seed\, help seeds to float and be a hitchhiker with seeds. We will make and taste sunflower seed butter\, then use our seed butter to create a pinecone birdfeeder t take home. \nMiss Mindy’s classes are hands on make and play sessions. We will be outdoors\, weather permitting\, and have indoor space in case of inclement weather. Mindy’s classes are designed as drop off classes\, but each ticket includes a supervising adult if you are more comfortable staying. \n  \nWe encourage you to sign up for all four classes in the series\, but it is not mandatory.

You’ll make your own fresh croutons and bottle your dressings to take home.
