SUMMARY:Kids in the Garden: Let’s Shellebrate Turtles – Brumation and Turtle Hurdles
DESCRIPTION:As part of our Kids in the Garden sessions\, Miss Mindy presents a four-week series of classes on turtles\, Let’s Shellebrate Turtles! \nIn this session we learn about turtle brumation and how that differs from hibernation. Learn all about how turtles survive over winter in this fun\, play and make class with Miss Mindy or Mindy’s Den. We’ll do the “turtle hurdles obstacle course to learn about threats to turtle survival and make models of how turtles live in the winter. \nThis class will be outdoors\, weather permitting\, and have indoor space in case of inclement weather. Mindy’s classes are designed as drop off classes\, but each ticket includes a supervising adult if you are more comfortable staying. \nWe encourage you to sign up for all four classes in the series\, but it is not mandatory.
