Grease a 9x13 baking pan with oil/butter. Then line with parchment paper and grease lightly again to avoid any sticking.
Put a large, nonstick pan on medium-low heat, add strawberry ice cream and melt completely.
Once ice cream is completely melted, add in the milk powder gradually and stir into the melted cream mixture.
Reduce heat to low and mix gently with wooden spoon or spatula by folding mixture from outside, inwards. This will ensure all ingredients combine fully and you have a smooth consistency.
Continue to cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, making sure to stir mixture continuously to avoid it burning or sticking to bottom of pan. The mixture is fully cooked once it has thickened and resembles smooth mash potatoes.
Carefully transfer the mixture into the greased pan and then immediately press down gently with spatula or back of spoon to even out the mixture and get a smooth top layer.
Top with desired garnishes and then allow to cool completely at room temperature, uncovered.
Once burfi is completely cooled, cut into clean, even slices and serve.
