Make Your Own: Healing Elderberry Syrup!

April 3 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Cost: $40
Deep purple elderberry syrup on a table with elderberry clusters

For centuries, elderberries have been used to create syrups and tonics for medicinal purposes. They also taste great. The elderberry is a North American native plant (Sambucus nigra) whose fruit is high in antioxidants, vitamin A, Vitamin C, potassium, folate and iron. We will be making our own elderberry syrup, bottling it to take home and enjoy as a tonic, or in cooking.  You will be making the syrup from fruit and bottling it to take home. During class we’ll discuss its best uses and some fun ways to experiment with this elixir.
