20 Years of Local Flavor: Burlington County Farmers Market Celebrates a Milestone Season

This spring marks a milestone for the Burlington County Farmers Market – May 9th begins the 20th season of bringing the community together to celebrate local agriculture, fresh food, and artisan creativity.  In traditional fashion, the opening day of the Market will be the Spring Garden Market with a special focus on gardening and springtime renewal.

Gardeners can find inspiration in a wide selection of plants, including annuals and perennials, veggie starts, peonies, potted bulbs, herbs, and native varieties.  Vibrant hanging baskets and cut flowers will be available to brighten up your inside or outside décor.  Shopping choices will be limitless with Bart’s Flowers, Hope Sprouts, Peonies, Petals and Poseys, Springville Herbary, James Durr Farm, and more, showcasing the best plants and flowers to be found in the region.

The Rutgers Master Gardeners will be on hand to offer helpful tips to make any garden flourish and the County Health Department will offer advice on staying safe in the garden and when enjoying the outdoors.

Let’s not forget, Opening Day is the day before Mother’s Day!  Kids can enjoy hands-on crafts to create a special gift for Mom and shoppers can browse handmade gifts.  The usual array of fresh produce, baked goods, cheeses and meats, drinks, and artistic crafts will be available.  Cooking demonstrations in the Farmhouse kitchen return at 10 AM where seasonal ingredients take center stage. Your Saturday morning experience will be complete listening to the tunes of the Classic Rock Band.

Opening Day & Our 20th Year Anniversary!

Over the past two decades, the Farmers Market has supported and fostered local farmers, artists, bakers, musicians and small businesses.  The market has become a gathering place for the community and a place where families come to enjoy Saturday mornings.  We hope to continue this legacy on Opening Day and into the 2026 season and we thank all of you who have supported us over the past 20 years.

Located at the Burlington County Agricultural Center at 500 Centerton Rd., Moorestown, NJ, the market runs every Saturday from 8:30 AM-1 PM through November 14th. As it celebrates 20 years, Burlington County Farmers Market invites the community to be part of the Opening Day celebration and the upcoming season.
