Braised Cabbage in Coconut Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small head of cabbage sliced into thick wedges
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Sear cabbage wedges in a hot oven-safe pan with olive oil on both sides until lightly browned.
  • Add onion and garlic to the pan, sautéing 2–3 minutes.
  • Pour coconut cream over the cabbage, season with salt and pepper, and transfer the pan to the oven.
  • Bake 15–20 minutes until cabbage is tender and sauce slightly reduced.

Notes

Try this also with the Tahini Drizzle we used on the roasted carrots and sweet potatoes.
