Join us on August 30th, from 8:30 AM to 1 PM, for a fun-filled day dedicated to two of the Garden State’s most beloved crops — juicy tomatoes and vibrant peppers. Whether you’re a seasoned tomato enthusiast or a pepper aficionado, Sweet & Heat promises something for everyone in the family.
We’re kicking off the day with tomato and pepper basket giveaways, so be sure to arrive early for your chance to win a basket packed with fresh, local produce. But that’s just the beginning. We’ll be offering free samples of fresh salsa, tomato bisque, and other tasty treats while they last — get ready to indulge in some of the best flavors Jersey has to offer.
For the kids, we’ve got a scavenger hunt and a tomatoey craft. It’s the perfect way for kids to enjoy the day while learning about the importance of local produce. Our Farmhouse Kitchen will also be hosting a chef-led cooking demo at 10 AM, showcasing delicious tomato and pepper dishes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to pick up some culinary tips and tricks and learn how to make the most of these seasonal favorites.
As you stroll through the market, you’ll find an impressive array of tomato and pepper-based foods to satisfy your cravings. From roasted bisques to focaccias, scones, jams, sauces, and even tomato and pepper pies, there will be plenty of savory options to take home or enjoy right at the market.
