Tomato Day!

Tomato Day Returns to the Burlington County Farmers Market

Following the success of its first-ever Melon Day, the Burlington County Farmers Market is preparing to celebrate another Garden State favorite, the Jersey tomato. Join us on Saturday, August 29, from 8:30am to 1pm for our annual Tomato Day, a family-friendly event celebrating New Jersey’s most beloved summer crop.

Throughout the day, visitors can enter tomato basket giveaways, sample fresh tomato salsa, a variety of heirloom and cherry tomatoes and browse vendors featuring tomato-inspired foods and baked goods. From tomato bisque and focaccia, to scones, tomato beer and other seasonal specialties, there will be plenty of delicious ways to enjoy the flavors of the day.

Families are invited to join in the fun with a tomato-themed scavenger hunt for kids, and crafts that children can take home. It’s the perfect opportunity for all ages to spend a Saturday morning together while supporting local farmers and small businesses.

At 10am, stop by the Farmhouse Kitchen for a chef-led cooking demonstration featuring fresh Jersey tomatoes. Arrive a few minutes early to grab a seat, watch the recipe come together, and enjoy a complimentary sample before heading back out to shop.

Tomato Day is also a wonderful reminder of everything the Burlington County Farmers Market has to offer each week. Shop from dozens of local farmers, food producers, and artisans, picnic beneath the shade trees, and enjoy live music while taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Burlington County Agricultural Center.

We are located at 500 Centerton Rd in Moorestown, and open every Saturday through November 14th, from 8:30am to 1pm.
